What is a Tin Certificate
TIN Certificate full form is Taxpayer Identification Number. Every registered taxpayer is given this 12-digit number and through this number they are identified in Bangladesh. Simply put, this TIN certificate cancellation number is used for identification just like your national identity card.
Why do you need a TIN certificate?
TIN certificates are required for various reasons. Like Bangladesh, other governments in the world have to pay taxes. The amount of tax varies from place to place. If you are eligible to pay taxes, you must text and pay taxes regularly. You need to make a TIN certificate for the following reasons.
- According to the rules of the National Board of Revenue, if you earn equal to Tk 16,000 a month, then you must have a TIN
- All men have to pay tax if they earn more than Tk 300,000 per annum, women of all ages and citizens above 65 years of age earn Tk 350,000 and disabled people have an annual income above Tk 450,000.
- If you are below the tax limit, you have to submit a zero statement by showing TIN
- If you need a TIN, such as car ownership or membership in an organization, you must have a TIN certificate even if you do not have taxable income.
What is the TIN certificate used for?
Now the question may arise in the mind of many, what is the use of TIN certificate. In fact, it can not be finished by saying what this certificate is used for. This tin certificate can be useful in many of your daily tasks. If you are a conscious citizen of Bangladesh then you must get an e-TIN certificate. If you want to receive various services of the Government of Bangladesh then this certificate is very important. Let’s know what you can use this TIN certificate for.
- You need to show this TIN certificate to renew your trade license.
- TIN is required to issue a credit card. However, it is not mandatory to pay tax in this case.
- This certificate is required to register any small or large company after its establishment. And without registration, all companies are considered illegal. It is also required to buy shares of the company.
- You must have a TIN certificate to register your import License. Because you have to show up as property.
- TIN certificates are required to license various drugs.
- It is mandatory to have your Tax-Payer Identification Number to purchase various commercial tenders.
- If you want to register land or building under the city corporation, you will need a TIN certificate. You have to pay the house tax using this number.
- This will be required for obtaining and renewing membership of the business association.
- To get the registration or fitness certificate of a car, microbus or jeep, you have to show the tin.
- TIN certificate is required to obtain any license such as doctor, engineer, lawyer, etc.
- This is needed if you want to be an election candidate.
